Montréal – August 22, 2012: After I finished meeting with my colleagues at a conference, I was walking back to find a quiet place where I could prep for a Wiki Collaboration workshop I was scheduled to deliver the next day.
As I turned a corner in downtown Montréal I ran into students engaged in what appeared to be a playful protest.
Unlike the many other student riots in Montréal since the tuition hikes were announced, this one was a peaceful demonstration – yet beneath the surface I sensed the students had no regard for elected governments and by taking to the streets they would bring about change.
