John Zeus “Zeus” is a highly involved, effective, and results-driven leader, mentor and learning coach. He has a solid background in recruiting, training, coaching and developing teams and organizations to achieve operational excellence and personal growth. He has been acknowledged by his clients as a “super achiever”, insightful, tactful and diplomatic communicator who builds a genuine rapport with peers, clients and program participants.
Apart from managing operations, coaching, training and facilitating work teams, Zeus has experience working with youth. As a Parks and Recreation Program Coordinator for the City of York, Zeus planned and directed programs in sports, outdoor and indoor games, arts, woodworking, cooking and recreational activities. His love of coaching, his patience and determination and his leadership in mentoring and training individuals and teams, have served him well in his appointments.
In his appointments Zeus has worked with various YMCA organizations bringing a consulting dynamic that offers a fresh perspective and creative approach to coaching staff. As the Wiki Platform Manager his primary focus was to effectively podcast, write training programs, train editors and end-users and integrate the contributions of collaborators, living in different regions.
While he is currently based in Toronto, he is well traveled and has lived in Europe and the west coast for a number of years. In the Summer of 2010 he began coaching others on how to seamlessly integrate resource materials from a traditional ‘desk-top and filing-cabinet system to a Internet based, collaborative platform using an Enterprise Wiki.
Zeus holds a Specialist BA in American Political Science and History from the University of Toronto and a Diploma in Travel and Tourism from Ryerson University.
